New Madison City Council seated, including first Native American

Madison City Council members took the oath of office at a noontime ceremony Tuesday at the City-County Building.

New Ald. Arvina Martin won a race for an open seat to represent the 11th District and become the first Native American to serve on the council. Martin is an enrolled member of the Ho-Chunk Nation and is also Stockbridge-Munsee.
